4. Why must I wait at least sixty days in order to receive a refund of MY contributions from the Retirement System?
The sixty-day period generally provides CMERS with sufficient time to receive and process your individual contribution (payroll) information provided to us by your former employer. This period of time insures – should be ensures that you are paid all of your contributions. Additionally, such payments are only made during and at certain times of the month.
