16. When can I take a distribution?

The Plan prohibits withdrawals prior to severance of employment. You must be fully separated from state service to take a distribution from your ARP account

If you separate from service prior to age 55 and have fewer than 10 years of service, you are eligible only for a rollover distribution. If you separate from service prior to age 55 and have more than 10 years of service, you are not eligible for a distribution until attaining age 55.
