Comptroller Sean Scanlon Statement on Senate Approval of MyCTSavings Bill

(HARTFORD, CT) – Comptroller Sean Scanlon released the following statement upon Senate approval of legislation to expand employer eligibility and address noncompliance in the MyCTSavings retirement program:

“The expansion of MyCTSavings has been one of my key priorities since taking office as State Comptroller, and it has led to more than 25,000 Connecticut employees now saving for their retirement,” said Comptroller Sean Scanlon. “The provisions in this bill will allow us to continue the success of MyCTSavings, and I’m grateful to Senator Kushner for her unwavering commitment to expanding retirement security for workers and to long-time champions Senators Looney and Duff for their support of this legislation. I look forward to working with my former House colleagues to ensure final passage.”

Senate Bill 136An Act Making Changes to the Connecticut Retirement Security Program Statutes will now be transmitted to the House of Representatives for consideration.
