(HARTFORD, CT) – Comptroller Sean Scanlon, joined by municipal leaders from across the state, launched the ArrayRx Town vs. Town Enrollment Challenge.

The challenge pits cities and towns across Connecticut in a friendly competition to see which community can enroll the most residents in ArrayRx, Connecticut’s free prescription drug discount card program. Since its launch in October of 2023, more than 24,000 people living in Connecticut have enrolled in ArrayRx, and the average savings has surpassed more than $200 per prescription.

“Prescription drug prices continue to rise unsustainably for so many families,” said Comptroller Scanlon. “A trip to the pharmacy is growing less and less affordable, even if you have insuranceArrayRx is changing that for families across Connecticut. At a time when healthcare access and affordability are being threatened, we know this program can help so many more people. I’m excited to launch this challenge and appreciative of the town officials joining me today to bring ArrayRx savings to even more people living in Connecticut.”

Municipalities currently participating in the challenge are Colchester, East Hartford, Danbury, Meriden, Middletown, North Haven, Stamford, and Stratford. They will earn points for different tasks such as partnering with a local nonprofit, distributing materials, and, of course, for each new person enrolled in their town. Participating towns are provided with one-to-one support from Office of the State Comptroller staff, as well as a range of promotional materials.  At the end of 2025, the top performing towns will be announced.

Anyone residing in Connecticut can sign up for their free prescription drug discount card at ArrayRxCard.com. Towns interested in joining the challenge can fill out this form.
