Comptroller Sean Scanlon Joins Rhode Island Treasurer James Diossa To Launch Risavers
(HARTFORD, CT) – Comptroller Sean Scanlon today joined Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee, Treasurer James Diossa, legislative leaders, and business advocates to celebrate the launch of the RISavers retirement saving program, a partner of MyCTSavings.
“Connecticut is honored to have our neighbors in Rhode Island join us in ensuring our residents have access to the dignified retirement they deserve,” said Connecticut State Comptroller Sean Scanlon. “Since the launch of Connecticut’s MyCTSavings in 2022, we have empowered tens of thousands of residents to save for their futures, and our cross-state collaboration will only build on that success. I’m deeply grateful to Treasurer Diossa and his team for their leadership, and I’m proud that this historic partnership will soon benefit the residents in both of our great states.”
“Secure Choice will transform retirement for our state and help the 40% of Rhode Island private sector employees with little or no retirement savings prepare for a comfortable, dignified life after work,” said General Treasurer Diossa. “Everyone should have the ability to retire with dignity and financial independence.”
Both MyCTSavings and RISavers are free for employers to enroll. MyCTSavings currently has more than 7,700 businesses enrolled and more than $50 million in assets.
