Comptroller Sean Scanlon Applauds Passage Of Bill Strengthening MyCTSavings
(HARTFORD, CT) – Comptroller Sean Scanlon today released the following statement upon the Connecticut General Assembly’s passage of Senate Bill 1221: An Act Making Changes to the Connecticut Retirement Security Program:
“Over the past three years since MyCTSavings launched, I’ve toured hundreds of small businesses to hear from employers and employees. They’ve taught me a lot about how we can continue to strengthen this program and how much it means to business owners to provide their employees with the opportunity to save for retirement. I am committed to the success of MyCTSavings by enrolling more employers and employees so that all Connecticut workers have the chance to enjoy the dignified retirement they deserve. I am grateful to Speaker Ritter, Majority Leader Rojas, Representative Manny Sanchez, and Senator Julie Kushner for championing this legislation. I look forward to Governor Lamont signing this bill into law and to continuing to grow this program for the benefit of Connecticut residents.”
Senate Bill 1221: An Act Making Changes to the Connecticut Retirement Security Program will now be sent to Governor Ned Lamont for his signature to become law.
