Question #1: | Based on the grid entitled "Number of Administrative Users by Agency" in Appendix J, it would appear the State anticipates approximately 5000 total users of the system. Do the "Power Users" and "Transactional Users" columns summarize the breakdown of users documented in the prior four columns (i.e. "Financial Users", "Payroll Users", "Personnel Users" and "T&A Users")? We want to be sure we have an accurate count of the total user community and the "Total" column seems to reflect Power + Transactional Users - but does not appear to tie in to the other columns. Is 5000 total users the appropriate count on which to base our configuration - and can you tell us how the columns in the spreadsheet reflect the State's intended usage? |
Answer #1: | The "Total" column on the grid entitled "Number of Administrative Users by Agency" in Appendix J are the total users in the current State administrative systems. Users in the listed agencies may be counted in any or all of the columns entitled "Financial Users", "Payroll Users", "Personnel Users" and "T&A Users". |
Question #2: | Do the "Power Users" and "Transactional Users" columns represent some assessment of how the users interact with the system (i.e. what is meant by a "power user" vs. "transactional user"?) Would it be the types of transaction those users would run; their level of sophistication; the frequency with which they would interact with the system? |
Answer # 2: | "Power Users" and "Transactional Users" do represent a difference in how users interact with the system. "Power Users" utilize the system and tools in a more analytical fashion then "Transactional Users". |
Question #3: | We're assuming that the "Total" column refers to "named users" - i.e. the total possible population of users who might access the system. Can you tell us if that assumption is accurate - and if so, would you be able to tell us what the expected concurrent access to the system might be (i.e. perhaps what percentage of that total (at peak) could be online accessing the system)? |
Answer #3: | The "Total" column on the grid entitled "Number of Administrative Users by Agency" in Appendix J are the total users in the current State administrative systems. We do not know what the expected concurrent access to the system might be. |
Question #4: | Appendix J did not appear to contain information relative to users of our Inventory module. Would you be able to tell us the number of total and concurrent users intended for Inventory? |
Answer #4: | Currently, the State does not have a central inventory system; therefore, the State does not have accurate user population information for the inventory system. |
Question #5: | SAP respectfully submits one additional question. There are two documents labeled "Appendix A": an MS Word document and a MS Excel spreadsheet. Both documents have questions numbered GSRXX ("General System Requirements XX"). Are we required to respond to both version of Appendix A? |
Answer #5: | Yes. |
