This is a graph showing Connecticut's Non-Elderly Uninsured Population by Family Income Relative to Poverty in 1994-1995. Note: The Federal Poverty Level, also known as FPL, changes each year and is adjusted for the number of people in the family. In 1995, for example, the FPL was 12 thousand 590 dollars for a family of 3 and 15 thousand 150 dollars for a family of 4. 33.3 percent of uninsured families had incomes below the FPL. 32 percent of uninsured families had incomes between 100 and 199 percent of the FPL. 23.8 percent of uninsured families had incomes between 200 and 399 percent of the FPL. 10.9 percent of uninsured families had incomes 400 percent or more of the FPL.
