A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, September 7, 2018,
at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford,
Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session
as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability
Retirement applicant.
CALL TO ORDER
- The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:01 am.
- Dr. Leiders motioned to amend the agenda, seconded by Dr. Rudich.
- Amended to the Agenda at 9:02 to remove:
- Susan Ezepchick
Dr. Leiders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical
condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by
Dr. Blum at 9:03 am.
Members of the Retirement Services Division, and the
General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session.
There was a brief break at 11:07 am until 11:21 am.
- Jaime Carrillo appeared before the Board at
11:23 am.
He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:27 am.
- Mary Gallagher and her husband, James
Heetman appeared before the Board at 11:28 am.
They made statements and
then they were excused by the Board at 11:31 am.
- Susan Kay appeared before the Board at 11:33
am.
She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:44 am.
- Demetra Punter appeared before the Board at
11:49 am.
She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:50
am.
- Dennis and Claire Testoni appeared before
the Board at 11:51 am.
They made statements and then they were excused by the
Board at 11:53 am.
- Thomas Wilkison and Attorney Kevin Coombes
appeared before the Board at 11:54 am.
They made statements and then they
were excused by the Board at 12:01 pm.
Dr. Lieders motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Rudich
at 12:02 pm.
