MEDICAL EXAMINING BOARD
FRIDAY, October 20, 2017

A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:02 am.

Dr. Ghandour motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Lieders at 9:03 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. Annette Sadlowski left meeting at 10:24 am and returned at 10:27 am.

1. Frankie Andrews and Rosalind Mosley appeared before the Board at 10:51 am. Ms. Andrews made a statement and then, they were excused by the Board at 10:58 am.
2. Darcel and Cleveland Billups appeared before the Board at 10:59 am. Ms. Billups made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 11:01 am.
3. Ann-Marie Breault-McCann and her husband, James McCann appeared before the Board at 11:03 am. Mr. McCann made a statement and then, they were excused by the Board at 11:05 am.
4. Pedro Rodriguez and Attorney Russell Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 11:06 am. Attorney Zimberlin made a statement and then, they were excused by the Board at 11:09 am.
5. Aida Rosado and Attorney Jeffrey Ment appeared before the Board at 11:12 am. Attorney Ment made a statement and then, they were excused by the Board at 11:15 am. 6. Nathaniel Tyson appeared before the Board and made a statement at 11:18 am. He was then excused by the Board at 11:25 am.

Dr. Ghandour motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Lieders 11:29 a.m.
