MEDICAL EXAMINING BOARD
FRIDAY, October 6, 2017

A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:00 am.
Amended to the Agenda: To remove Lisa Adams-Puleo at 9:00 am.

Dr. Lieders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Rudich at 9:01 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. A brief break was taken from 10:26 a.m. until 10:32 a.m.

1. Marc Cottrell appeared before the Board at 10:35 am and made a statement. He was excused by the Board at 10:37 am.
2. Debra Nesmith and Attorney Ralph Wilson appeared before the Board at 10:41 am. Ms. Nesmith made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 10:44 am.
3. Attorney Robert Krzys appeared before the Board and made a statement on behalf of Daniel Sivori at 10:48 am. He was excused by the Board at 10:52 am.
4. Kathleen Staunton, and her Vice Principal, Eileen Molloy appeared before the Board at 10:55 am. They made statements and were excused by the Board at 11:00 am.
5. Angela Harris, Attorney Colleen Casini and Portia Harris appeared before the Board at 11:01 am. She and Atty. Casini made statements and then, they were excused by the Board at 11:06 am.

Dr. Lieders motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Rudich 11:11 am.
