FRIDAY, MARCH 22, 2019

A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

PRESENT:

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:14 am.

Dr. Galvin motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Pollack at 9:15 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. There was a brief break at 10:47 am. until 10:52 am. Annette Sadlowski left the meeting at 11:52 am and returned at 11:53 am.

Leonard Katz and Christine Golet, CEUI appeared before the Board at 10:54 am. They made statements and then, they were excused by the Board at 10:59 am.
Theresa Atkins and Attorney Brennen Maki appeared before the Board at 11:00 am. They made statements, and then they were excused by the Board at 11:02 am.
Joseph Innamorato appeared before the Board at 11:04 am. He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:10 am.
Greg Murdy appeared before the Board at 11:13 am. He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:20 am.
Francisco Rivera and his wife Aida Rivera appeared before the Board at 11:21 am. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 11:39 pm.

Dr. Galvin motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Pollack at 11:56 a.m.

Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to deny Theresa Atkins' entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

LONI BROCKETT   D- 12550     CHANGE TO NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to approve Loni Brockett's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

DELORES COREY     D- 12494     CHANGE TO NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to approve Dolores Corey's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to approve Catherine Daniels' entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to approve Wendi Everton's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to approve Deborah Foss' entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Galvin, to deny Joseph Innamorato's entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement, but they would look favorably upon a Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Blum moved, seconded by Dr. Pollack, to approve Annadell Jaczynski's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.
