A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:04 am.

Dr. Rudich motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Galvin at 9:06 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. There was a brief break at 11:32 am until 11:44 am.

1. Karen Ahmed, Sharif Ahmed and Attorney Justin Raymond appeared before the Board at 11:47 am. Karen Ahmed and Attorney Raymond made statements and then, they were excused by the Board at 11:50 am.

2. Jayson Delgado appeared before the Board at 11:51 am. He made a statement, and then was excused by the Board at 11:52 am.

3. Brison Downing appeared before the Board at 11:53 am. She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:54 am.

4. James Fusaro appeared before the Board at 11:55 am. He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:03 pm.

5. Jeffrey Hoffkins and Attorney Christopher Carveth appeared before the Board at 12:05 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:08 pm.

6. Bonnie Jackson appeared before the Board at 12:09 pm. She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:11 pm.

7. Timothy Lester and Christine Golet, CEUI appeared before the Board at 12:14 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:16 pm.

8. Katrina Navarro and Bruce Hanson appeared before the Board at 12:17 pm. They made statements and then were excused by the Board at 12:19 pm.

9. Mylinh Le, on behalf of Chanh Nguyen appeared before the Board at 12:20 pm. She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:30 pm.

10. Thomas Perrone, Jr. and Christine Golet, CEUI appeared before the Board at 12:32 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:41 pm.

11. Vance Przasnyski appeared before the Board at 12:51 pm. He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:53 pm.

12. Neil Liskey, on behalf of, Gina Schiavone appeared before the Board at 12:54 pm. He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:55 pm.

Dr. Rudich motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Galvin 1:40 p.m.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Galvin, to deny Karen Ahmed�s entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement, but would look favorably upon a Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

CYNTHIA CARLONI D- 12753 NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Galvin, to approve Cynthia Carloni�s entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Galvin, to approve Jayson Delgado�s entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Galvin, to approve James Fusaro�s entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Galvin, to approve Jeffrey Hoffkins� entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.
