A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, June 9, 2017, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:08 am.

Dr. Rudich motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Leiders at 9:09 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. There was a brief break from 10:44 a.m. until 10:49 a.m.

1. Sharon Brazeal appeared and made a statement before the Board at 10:51 a.m. She was excused by the Board at 10:59 a.m.
2. Paula Barnett-Graves and Christine Golet appeared before the Board at 11:05 a.m. Ms. Barnett-Graves made a statement, and then they were excused by the Board at 11:07 a.m.
3. Mary Langton and Ruth Kurien appeared before the Board at 11:08 a.m. Ms. Kurien read a statement, and then they were excused by the Board at 11:10 a.m.
4. LaShawnda Chapman appeared and made a statement before the Board at 11:12 a.m. She was excused by the Board at 11:14 a.m.

Dr. Rudich motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Leiders at 11:14 a.m.
