A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, June 8, 2018, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:02 am.
Dr. Lieders motioned to amend the agenda, seconded by Dr. Dargan at 9:03 am.

Dr. Lieders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Dargan at 9:04 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. Dr. Dargan left the meeting at 11:04 am. and returned at 11:06 am. There was a brief break at 11:35 am until 11:42 am.

1. Charles Avena appeared before the Board at 11:44 am. He made a statement and was excused by the Board at 11:47 am.
2. Sharon Corbin appeared before the Board at 11:52 am. She made a statement, and was excused by the Board at 11:59 am.
3. Paul Garland and Attorney Justin Raymond appeared before the Board at 12:00 pm. Attorney Raymond made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 12:02 pm.
4. Roseann Kellaher and Attorney Ken Friedman appeared before the Board at 12:09 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:11 pm.
5. Lori Morin, wife of Rudolph Morin, II, and Attorney Russell Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 12:12 pm. They made statements, and then they were excused by the Board at 12:15 pm.
6. Lisa Kuhl-Duperry and Allen Duperry appeared before the Board at 12:18 pm. She made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 12:25 pm.
7. Rosemary O?Lone and Attorney Marc Mercier appeared before the Board at 12:29 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:35 pm.
8. Rebecca Smalls and Attorney Justin Raymond appeared before the Board at 12:37 pm. Attorney Raymond made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 12:38 pm.
9. Debbie Sullivan and Attorney Winona Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 12:39 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:48 pm.

Dr. Lieders motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Pollack at 1:02 p.m.
