Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant. 

CALL TO ORDER 

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:05 am.
Dr. Lieders motioned to amend agenda and seconded by Dr. Blum to:
Remove Bonnie Drozdowicz and Karen Nixon at 9:06 am. 

Dr. Lieders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Blum at 9:07 am.  Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session.  There was a brief break at 10:37 am. until 10:43 am. 

1.  Beverly Braus and Attorney Nathan Shafner appeared before the Board at 10:48 am.  They made statements, and then they were excused by the Board at 10:56 am.

2.  Brian Castle appeared before the Board at 10:58 am.  He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:17am.

3.  Gale Datelle and Athan Mihalakos appeared before the Board at 11:22 am.  They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 11:39 am.

4.  Brison Downing, appeared before the Board at 11:43 am.  She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:50 am.

5.  Kevin Gadomski appeared before the Board at 11:55 am.  He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:58 am.

6.  Debra Rahbyn Morris appeared before the Board at 12:01 pm.  She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:04 pm.

7.  Angel Ortiz and Miguel Ortiz, his son and interpreter appeared before the Board at 12:12 pm.  They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:16 pm.

8.  James Turner, II and his wife Pam Turner appeared before the Board at 12:19 pm.  They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:22 pm. 

Dr. Lieders motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Blum at 12:26 pm.
