A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant. 

CALL TO ORDER 

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:29 am. 

Dr. Lieders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Galvin at 9:30 am.  Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session.  There was a brief break at 12:10 pm. until 12:18 pm. 

1.  Manjit Kaur, Bhupindar Singh and Sujit Singh appeared before the Board at 9:39 am.  Sujit Singh and Bhupindar Singh made statements, and then, they were excused by the Board at 9:43 am.
2.  Rachel Asbery and Jodie Fergus appeared before the Board at 12:19 pm.  Ms. Asbery made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 12:20 pm.
3.  Alman Beckford appeared before the Board at 12:21 pm.  He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:26 pm.
4.  Tamara Cunningham and Attorney Russell Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 12:26 pm.  They made statements and then, they were excused by the Board at 12:31 pm.
5.  Carmelo Figueroa appeared before the Board at 12:33 pm.  He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:37 pm.
6.  Susan Martin and Attorney Ken Friedman appeared before the Board at 12:38 pm.  They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:40 pm.
7.  Nilda Martinez, appeared before the Board at 12:42 pm.  She made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:45 pm.
8.  On behalf of Robin Salvatore, Attorney Misty Percifield appeared before the Board at 12:45 pm.  She made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 12:57 pm.
9.  Linda Turgeon and Attorney Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 1:05 pm.  They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 1:12 pm.

Dr. Rudich motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Galvin at 1:28 pm.
