A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:01 am.

Dr. Lieders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Pollack at 9:02 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session.

1. George Avery, III and Tammi Avery appeared, and made a statement before the Board at 10:45 a.m. They were excused by the Board at 10:48 a.m.
2. Melissa and Bryan Bahre appeared before the Board at 10:49 a.m. They made a statement and, then he and Melissa were excused by the Board at 10:57 a.m.
3. Sheila Colson and Attorney John Coughlin appeared before the Board at 11:02 a.m. Attorney Coughlin made a statement, and then they were excused by the Board at 11:07 a.m.
4. Rosemary O?Lone and Attorney Marc Mercier appeared before the Board at 11:11 a.m. Attorney Mercier made a statement and they were excused by the Board at 11:14 a.m.
5. Beryl Tomlinson and Attorney Melissa Harris appeared before the Board at 11:15 a.m. Attorney Harris made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 11:24 a.m.
6. Stephanie Bernard appeared before the Board and made a statement at 11:25 a.m. She was excused by the Board at 11:35 a.m.

Dr. Lieders motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Pollack at 11:39 am.
