A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, April 7, 2017, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:06 am.

Dr. Ghandour motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Leiders at 9:07 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session.

1. Jennifer Ireland and Chris Shulkey appeared, and Ms. Ireland made a statement before the Board at 11:47 a.m. She and Chris Shulkey were excused by the Board at 11:51 a.m.
   

Dr. Ghandour motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Leiders at 11:57 a.m.

DEBRA AMBROZAITIS     D-11012     CONTINUED ENTITLEMENT
Dr. Ghandour moved, seconded by Dr. Leiders, to continue the disability retirement of Debra Ambrozaitis. Motion approved unanimously.

MERYL BERGER     D-11545     CONTINUED ENTITLEMENT
Dr. Ghandour moved, seconded by Dr. Leiders, to continue the disability retirement of Meryl Berger. Motion approved unanimously.

DAWN CANTONE     D-11052     CONTINUED ENTITLEMENT
Dr. Ghandour moved, seconded by Dr. Leiders, to continue the disability retirement of Dawn Cantone. Motion approved unanimously.

GAYLE DAMON     D-11476     CONTINUED ENTITLEMENT
Dr. Ghandour moved, seconded by Dr. Leiders, to continue the disability retirement of Gayle Damon. Motion approved unanimously.

THOMAS DELAHANTY     D-11224     CONTINUED ENTITLEMENT
Dr. Ghandour moved, seconded by Dr. Leiders, to continue the disability retirement of Thomas Delahanty. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Ghandour moved, seconded by Dr. Leiders, to continue the disability retirement of Renee Depastino. Motion approved by majority decision. Dr. Dargan abstains.
