The meeting began at approximately 3:12 p.m.
Discussion was held with regard to drafts of:
1. Connecticut Policemen and Firemen Survivors' Benefit Fund Actuarial Valuation Report as of June 30, 2018
2. GASB Statement No. 67 Report for the Connecticut Municipal Employees' Retirement System prepared as of June 30, 2018.
3. Updating MERS survivor option factors and service purchase calculation to reflect newly adopted actuarial assumptions.
Claude Poulin moved, seconded by Charles Casella, to recommend to the Commission to accept the Connecticut Policemen and Firemen Survivors' Benefit Fund Actuarial Valuation Report as of June 30, 2018 as an interim valuation with the continuance of the Employer Normal Contribution rate as 1.10%. All voted in favor. The motion Carried.
Claude Poulin moved, seconded by Karen Nolan, to recommend to the Commission to accept the GASB Statement No. 67 Report for the Connecticut Municipal Employees' Retirement System prepared as of June 30, 2018. All voted in favor. The motion Carried.
Claude Poulin moved, seconded by Karen Nolan, to recommend to the Commission to table the Update to MERS survivor option factors and discuss with the full Commission. All voted in favor. The motion Carried.
