Comptroller Sean Scanlon On The 50th Anniversary Of Roe V. Wade

(HARTFORD, CT) – Comptroller Sean Scanlon released the following statement on the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade:

“Fifty years ago today, the Supreme Court ensured that American women would have a constitutional right to make their own health care and reproductive decisions. Last year, that same Court took that right away, forever altering our country and the lives of millions of women. As Comptroller and the administrator of the state’s largest health plan, I will always protect and defend Connecticut’s reproductive freedom law and ensure that the women of our state continue to have the right to make their own health care decisions.”
