Meeting Called to Order by Thomas Woodruff
New Business:
Financials and Dashboard - Dave Williams presented the monthly dashboard report on financials. It was noted that claims experience is running well, but an increase in members needs to be reviewed closely.
Partnership and MEHIP Plan Update - Staff reported that a new group, UNCAS Health District was joining the Partnership Plan on December 1, 2013. Also, the pharmacy only offering under Partnership was discussed with an update provided on the email follow up to the mailing sent out to towns with populations greater than 20,000. Tom provided a MEHIP update with an explanation of the impact of healthcare reform on the plan designs.
Health and Wellness Fairs - Staff announced that the Health and Wellness Fair for state employees and retirees was held on 10/23/13. It was reported that about 500 people came through and staff considered the fair very successful. 120 cholesterol screenings were given with updates to the HEP portal available at the fair. In addition, 92 flu shots were administered.
SIM Update - Tom provided an update on the work being done on the SIM project. The state's final proposal is anticipated for submittal to CMS in early December of 2013.
Dental RFP - Milliman issued a proposed timeline for the dental RFP. Tom requested volunteers for the RFP committee.
