Meeting Called to Order by Thomas Woodruff
New Business:
Financials and Dashboard - Milliman presented the monthly dashboard report on financials. It was reported that the claims experience was running slightly better than budget projections. It was noted that the positive claims experience is being offset by an increase in active and retiree membership. The growth in the retiree population was discussed specifically, since it will have an impact on the overall budget for retiree health. This was apparent in the FAD/Appropriation balance report.
Partnership Update - Staff reported that enrollment in the Partnership Plan remains consistent at about 2500 lives. There were 5 new quote requests in May for various effective dates.
SIM Update - Tom provided an update on the SIM project. The application deadline is approaching in July 2014.
Open Enrollment Update - Staff reported that open enrollment fairs were beginning on May 12, 2014. There are 33 fairs scheduled at different agency locations. The medical, dental, and pharmacy insurance vendors will be there to provide information about the plans. Care Management Solutions will be at the fairs to answer HEP questions. In addition, cholesterol screenings will be offered at 21 locations.
