SUBJECT: | Long Term Care Program offered by MetLife Insurance Company - Simplified Issue Open Enrollment Extension |
I. INTRODUCTION
Comptroller's Memorandum 2008-01a announced the MetLife Long Term Care Program (Program) open enrollment period. In that connection, the purpose of this memorandum is to announce the extension of the simplified issue open enrollment period.
II. PROGRAM EXTENSION PERIOD
The Program simplified issue open enrollment period will be extended to December 1, 2008. The eligibility criteria established in Comptroller's Memorandum 2008-01a remains the same. MetLife will continue to schedule seminars throughout the State however agencies may also contact MetLife directly at 1-800-LTC-CT89 (1-800-582-2889) with questions related to seminar scheduling and the reservation process. MetLife will also mail a communication to employees announcing the extension of the Program along with Program contact information.
III. CONCLUSION
Employees seeking further Program enrollment information may contact MetLife directly at 1-800-LTC-CT89 (1-800-582-2889).
The general responsibility to administer the Program has been assigned to the Comptroller's Retirement & Benefit Services Division (RBSD); accordingly, administrative and related concerns should be directed to the RBSD at (860) 702-3543.
It is the Division's objective to make this important benefit available to as many employees as possible therefore your assistance in making the Program's seminar accessible to your agency's employees is greatly appreciated.
