Sample language concerning retirement plan participation and irrevocable waiver option to be included in Connecticut State University part-time lecturer employment contracts:

"I acknowledge that in connection with my employment I will be enrolled in the State Employees Retirement System unless I irrevocably waive retirement plan membership for this and any subsequent employment with this agency or the Board of Governors of Higher Education or any other of its constituent units. I understand that if I fail to complete and submit Form CO-931, "Designation of Retirement System-Tier-Plan-Beneficiary" within 90 days of commencing employment, that I will be automatically enrolled in a retirement plan. If I decide to waive retirement plan participation, I understand that this decision will be irrevocable for any and all subsequent part-time service with this agency or Board of Governors of Higher Education or any other of its constituent units within the State of Connecticut."
