MEMORANDUM NO. 2006-35

TO THE HEADS OF ALL STATE AGENCIES

I. AUTHORITY

In accordance with the request of the Protective Services Employees Coalition, the following dues/fees increase will be implemented effective with the pay period November 10, 2006 through November 23, 2006 (check date December 8, 2006). The dues/fees will apply to the following job titles/job codes: Firefighter (8954PS), Fire Lieutenant (0481PS), Institution Assistant Chief (4906PS), Institution Fire Chief (4943PS), Airport Crash Rescue Captain (0179PS), Airport Crash Rescue Firefighter (0180PS) and University Fire Captain (8955PS).

Please Note: It is the agencies responsibility to add the new deductions (UDPRO2 or UFPRO2) and end old deduction codes (UDPROT or UFPROT) for the above listed job titles.

II. PAYROLL PROCEDURES

Adding new deduction code on 'Create General Deduction' page:
Deduction Code - UDPRO2/UFPRO2, Deduction Calculation Routine - 'Flat Amount', Flat/Addl Amount - 'Blank' (This deduction is automatically calculated based on the employees salary therefore the flat/addl amount field should be left blank).

Ending old deduction code on 'Create General Deduction' page:
Deduction Code - UDPROT/UFPROT, Effective Date - 11/10/2006, Deduction End Date - 11/10/2006
