MEMORANDUM 2005-21
June 10, 2005
TO THE HEADS OF ALL STATE AGENCIES
Attention: | Chief Administrative and Fiscal Officers and Business Managers |
Subject: | Licensing Fees for P-5 Bargaining Unit |
I. Authority
Article 24, Section 7 of the Administrative and Residual P-5 contract states "an employee whose job specification requires a professional license or certification as a condition of employment and who uses such license for State business will be reimbursed for the cost of such license or certification".
II. Purpose
The Administrative and Residual contract for July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2007 does not include a monetary limit for license reimbursements, therefore, agencies are no longer required to submit reimbursement requests to the Comptroller's Office. These reimbursements can be processed through normal voucher processing methods.
If you submitted license reimbursements for FY2004 or FY2005, these requests will be returned to your agency.
III. General
Questions regarding this memo may be directed to the Office of the State Comptroller, Fiscal Policy Division, at (860) 702-3434.
