MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 23, 2015 MEETING

The meeting began at approximately 2:35 p.m.
Accounts Receivable Report - MERS - Action: The Accounts Receivable Report for MERS as of December 31, 2014 is to be provided to the full Retirement Commission at the February 19, 2015 meeting for review and discussion. All voted in favor. Unanimous decision.
Accounts Receivable Report - SERS - Action: The Accounts Receivable Report for SERS as of December 31, 2014 is to be provided to the full Retirement Commission at the February 19, 2015 meeting for review and discussion. All voted in favor. Unanimous decision.
Old Business - Discussion regarding the Subcommittee members to bring forward to the Legal and Personnel Subcommittee the ability to write-off uncollectible claims based on the Connecticut General Statutes Section 3-7 entitled, "Cancellation of uncollectible claims. Compromise of disputed claims". Retirement Division staff to provide the calculations formula's for a retiree that is receiving Workers' Compensation so that they can understand the impact of a settlement payment and how it impacts the retirement benefit. In addition, provide the Subcommittee with a case history for the Estate of David Bitner; Donald Cornell and Karen Heilwail.
