The meeting began at 1:20 p.m.

The Subcommittee discussed the following claims that had been administratively denied by the Retirement Services Division. All of the recommendations are unanimous unless noted accordingly.

Brian Bardo (Retiree) #270237 - Request received from Brian Bardo that he be allowed to transfer his twenty-six years of service in the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) into the State Employees Retirement System (SERS) from which he was currently receiving his vested rights retirement benefit.

Action: Ms. Yelmini moved, seconded by Mr. Casella to recommend denial of Mr. Bardo's request.
Martha Delaney #045114 - Request received from Ms. Delaney to receive additional retirement credit for her prior contractual service rendered from 1993 to 2006.

Action: Mr. Coffey moved, seconded by Mr. Casella to recommend denial of Ms. Delaney's request for additional retirement credit for her prior contractual service rendered from 1993 to 2006.

Jeffrey Grieg #537640 - Request received from Mr. Grieg to receive additional retirement credit for his prior contractual service rendered from September 1, 1989 to September 3, 1992.

Action: Ms. Yelmini moved, seconded by Mr. Coffey to recommend denial of Mr. Grieg's request for additional retirement credit for his prior contractual service from September1, 1989 to September 3, 1992; Mr. Casella dissenting. Majority decision.

Trustee Ron McLellan arrived at 2:00 p.m.
David Sheffield (Deceased) #272168 - Request received to change Mr. Sheffield's benefit payment option election subsequent to his receipt of the benefit payment and his death.

Action: Ms. Yelmini moved, seconded by Mr. Casella to recommend denial of the request to change Mr. Sheffield's benefit payment option election.

Andrew Soltys (Retired) #248036 Tabled for additional documentation.
Other Matters

Angela Diaz # 449440 - The Retirement Services Division pursuant to the discussion from the Trustees will place this matter back before the Medical Examining Board.

Action: No action was taken.
