The meeting began at 11:03 a.m. A motion were made by Mr. Coffey, second by Mr. Casella to go into executive session to discuss the qualifications of the law firms that were interviewed relevant to the pension/tax issues and potential litigation surrounding the SERS plan. Division Counsel was invited to stay to act as a resource and give opinion in this area. Unanimous decision. At approximately 12: 50 p.m., Mr. Carey moved; second by Mr. Casella to come out of executive session. Unanimous decision.
Mr. Coffey moved, second by Mr. Fortier to recommend to the Commission to recommend to the Office of the Attorney General that the following firms (in order of ranking) be hired:
Unanimous decision. The meeting was adjourned at 12:56 p.m.
