Present: Chairman Peter Blum; Trustees Michael Carey, Charles Casella, and Robert Coffey.
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 AM. Mr. Carey moved to go into Executive Session to interview representatives from Robinson and Cole, a law firm that is a candidate for Legal Counsel to the Commission regarding IRS matters and to invite Attorneys Bruce Barth, Virginia McGarrity and Cynthia Christie of Robinson and Cole and Attorney Michael Rose, Commission Legal Counsel to participate. Mr. Casella seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
Following the interview and discussion, Mr. Carey moved to come out of Executive Session. Mr. Casella seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
In Public Session, Mr. Carey moved to designate Chairman Peter Blum to report to the Retirement Commission at the next monthly meeting the recommendations of the Subcommittee concerning the selection of Legal Counsel to the Commission regarding IRS matters.
There being no further business, Mr. Carey moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:14 p.m. Mr. Casella seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
