A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, August 9, 2013, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:13 am.

Dr. Samson motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Singer at 9:14 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division were allowed to remain.

Dr. Samson motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Singer at 12:00 pm.

RICHARD BALDYGA D-11122 NON-SERVICE CONNECTED (RECONSIDERATION)
Dr. Singer moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to approve Richard Baldyga'S entitlement to Non-Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

BRENDA BARRY D-11260 SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Singer moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to deny Brenda Barry'S entitlement to Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

HEIDI BOEHM D-11062 NON-SERVICE CONNECTED (RECONSIDERATION)
Dr. Singer moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to approve Heidi Boehm'S entitlement to Non-Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved by unanimously.

IRENE CARDARELLA D-11381 NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Singer moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to approve Irene Cardarella'S entitlement to Non-Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

HERIBERTO CRUZ D- 11095 NON-SERVICE CONNECTED (RECONSIDERATION)
Dr. Singer moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to stand by the Board'S previous decision to deny Heriberto Cruz'S entitlement to Non-Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

entitlement to Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.
