The purpose of this meeting is to consider the following claims for coverage under the hazardous duty provisions of the State Employees Retirement System (SERS):
Deputy Director of Parole and Community Services (Class code 1401)
James Mills
Albert Angeloni
Douglas Sauer
The Department of Correction (DOC) staff members named above along with DOC Human Resources staff will attend.
Detailed information regarding these claims was provided at the September 18, 2008 meeting of the Commission. Enclosed for your reference is additional information provided by DOC with respect to the Deputy Director of Parole and Community Services classification and a copy of an excerpt from the Compendium of Decisions released by general counsel on January 24, 1989 which reflects the Commission's treatment of nineteen hazardous duty petitions it has considered as well as a list of Commission decisions not included in the excerpt from the Compendium.
