A Supplemental Understanding between the State of Connecticut and the Connecticut State Police Collective Bargaining Unit (NP-1) for the Contract Period July 1995 through June 1999

  1. AUTHORITY

A supplemental understanding to provide funding under Article 19, Section Two (e) and (f) for a meal allowance increase omitted from the original funding submission to the legislature for this contract.

  1. AGREEMENT

Article 19, Section Two. Meal Allowance.

Future meal increases will be equal to the same percentage as the general wage increase or by the percentage equivalent of any dollar increase to the general wage base.

The meal allowance of $13.95 per shift for OPA and HCP assignments will remain in effect for the duration of this agreement except it will increase to $14.00 per shift on

Effective November 1, 1998, a general wage increase of two percent (2%) was implemented according to Article 19.1. The meal allowance will increase two percent (2%) to the following amounts:

Minimum 4 hours $ 8.09 6.25 - 12.5 hours $14.28
5-6 hours $12.20 Over 12.5 hours $17.36

 

  1. PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Retroactive Payment

Two percent (2%) retro from November 1, 1998 through February 25, 1999.

The agency must calculate the amount due. Meal Allowance at new rate for the days worked from November 1, 1998, minus the days worked and paid at theold Meal Allowance rate.

Employee's masterfile must be changed to reflect the two percent (2%) increase.

  1. GENERAL
The additional wages for meal allowances are subject to both Federal Withholding and State Income Tax annualized, FICA, retirement contributions and, if applicable, wage garnishments.
