To Employees & Retirees of the State of Connecticut:
I'm excited to take this opportunity to inform you of some upcoming changes to your current health insurance option.
As you know, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Connecticut, Inc. (Kaiser) will be leaving the State of Connecticut. ConnectiCare, Inc. has received regulatory approval to take over Kaiser's business effective November 1, 1999.
I can assure you that over the last few weeks The State of Connecticut has worked closely with ConnectiCare to insure that there will be no interruption in coverage for you and your family. To ensure a smooth transition, ConnectiCare has added most of Kaiser's physicians and practitioners to its existing network of over 5,000 providers and will administer the current plan option offered through The State of Connecticut. Therefore, you'll still enjoy the same level of benefits which you are accustomed to while having access to a more comprehensive network.
Shortly, you will receive an informational member kit that will provide you and your family with all the information you will need to access health care through ConnectiCare's network of hospitals and providers.
If you should have any questions regarding your benefits, or provider participation, please contact ConnectiCare's Member Services Department at 1-800-727-3712.
We wish you the best of health in the coming year.
Very truly yours, |
|
