FISCAL YEAR-END INSTRUCTIONS 97-6

To:All State Agencies
Attention:Chief Fiscal Officer or Business Manager
Subject: Payrolls

I. Fiscal Year 1996-1997 (Old Year)

  1. The bi-weekly pay period Friday, May 23 through Thursday, June 5, which is scheduled for payment on Friday, June 20, will be the final bi-weekly payroll charged to appropriations for fiscal year 1996-97.

  2. Semi-monthly and any other payrolls which will be paid (check date) on or before June 30 will also be charged to appropriations for fiscal year 1996-1997.

II. Fiscal Year 1998 (New Year):

Payrolls which will be paid (check date) in July will be charged to new year (1998) appropriations.
