SUBJECT: | Revision of Maximum Per Diem Rates for Localities |
The federal per diem rates stated in Memorandum 96-20 have been revised for travel in the Continental United States effective January 1, 1997. New per diem localities have been added. Federal per diem rates for meals and incidental expenses are $30, $34, $38, and $42 dependent on the locality. A detailed listing of all localities in the Continental United States is attached in the revised Appendix A. Any collective bargaining meals, per diem and incidental expenses exceeding the applicable rate are reportable.
