| Subject: | Employee Direct Deposit Program: New Availability Date |
Over the past several months, our Offices have conducted a joint marketing initiative of the Direct Deposit Program. The marketing initiative has highlighted the positive aspects of the Direct Deposit Program. However, one common complaint that we heard from employees was that the money is not available until Friday morning, whereas paychecks are released on Thursday.
In an effort to put the Direct Deposit Program on equal standing with payroll checks, we are pleased to announce that effective check date February 16, 1996, your direct deposit transactions will be available by 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday before the check date.
If any state employee wants to sign up for the Direct Deposit Program, please see your Payroll officer for an application form.
