Subject: | Capital Equipment Purchase Fund |
I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this memorandum is to clarify the use of Capital Equipment Purchase Funds (CEPF) for initial purchase of personal computers and attendant software.
II. PURCHASE OF SOFTWARE
Agencies may not purchase personal computers with pre-loaded software. The purchase of software must be from the existing Department of Information Technology Contract Awards.
Agencies will only be able to use CEPF funds at the time of the initial purchase of personal computers. Other funds must be used to purchase software after the initial purchase.
